Locals use motorbikes to move around the countryside, often on tracks and unmade roads too narrow or muddy for cumbersome US trucks to follow. US troops from the 101st Airborne Division, 2-502 Infantry Battalion, based in Zhari district, have started registering the motorbikes with identification stickers, matched to the riders' biometric data, including finger prints and iris scans.
